Longley Woods was once part of the Longley Hall estate owned by the Ramsden family who built much of Huddersfield.
There has been a woodland on this site for hundreds of years.
Huddersfield has grown and the world has changed but the woodland is still here.
If trees could speak, imagine what stories they could tell.
As the path bends to the left, pause by the metal gate.
