We are a Facebook community group, which exists to promote the enjoyment & care of the natural environment in Huddersfield.
Huddersfield New College Eco Schools Committee
We are a student led group working to achieve the college's green agenda to reduce carbon emissions and plastic waste, and improve biodiversity on site. We planted 300 trees last year and this year the students would like to plant 30 more trees on site but we need access to tools to do this.
Honley Village Community Trust
To promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the natural environment in the village of Honley and the surrounding area and, in particular, to hold and maintain the Magdale Fields, Honley in perpetuity.To provide facilities and activities for the recreation and leisure-time occupation for the inhabitants of Honley, regardless of age, sex or of political, religious or other opinions. To further such purposes by the provision of grants according to the charitable laws of England and Wales. The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Kirklees without distinction of political, religious or other opinions.
Holme Valley Climate Action Partnership
The Holme Valley Climate Action Partnership network supports local organisations in carrying out climate actions as part of the Holme Valley Parish Council's Climate Emergency Action Plan to become carbon neutral by 2030. This network has been set up by HoTT, the Parish Council and more than 30 other local organisations. An associated community business called ‘HVCAP’ has been founded; a not-for-profit charitable community business company, incorporated as a CIO, to facilitate local climate action, including fund raising, campaigns, and ‘demonstrator’ capital projects. Growing Works
Growing Works nurtures healthy lives outdoors, working within the community to support families and individuals by making positive changes in their lives. By connecting people with their environment and providing supportive activities we can help to improve health and wellbeing and enable our participants to build relationships and access support. We provide outdoor, social opportunities in therapeutic gardening, healthy cooking and eating, nature crafts and bushcraft. Services include Bud, open for all sessions for 18 years plus and Sprout, whole family fun sessions with SEND/SEMH or Young Shoots for teenagers with SEND/SEMH to build skills and independence.

Grow to School CIC operates in the education sector creating sustainable pathways to increasing access to the outdoors, enhancing educational experiences and outcomes for children.
Friends of Beaumont Park
To promote the benefit of the residents by associating together the said inhabitants and the statutory authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for conditions of life for the said inhabitants; in particular, but not exclusively by the preservation, promotion, support, assistance and improvement of Beaumont Park. To promote such other purposes as may from time to time be determined. The Charity will be non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion. The area of benefit shall be primarily but not restricted to the town of Huddersfield in Kirklees, and the surrounding area.
Experience Community
We improve access to the Colne riverside by creating and maintaining footpaths, cycle routes and green spaces. We improve habitats so that people and wildlife can thrive, and enhance sites with seating and signage and regular litter picks.
Environmental Projects in Kirklees (EPIKS)
EPIKs delivers environmental projects so that people can get better access to green spaces on their doorstep, engage in active travel and take action for the local environment. We have regular outdoor volunteer work parties and work in partnership with community groups and businesses. This helps us to get the best local knowledge and impact from our projects.
