Small Grant Scheme 2024

2024 Small Grant Scheme Awards

The Natural Kirklees Small Grant Scheme for 2024 is now closed and we have provided 14 different member groups sums between £250 to £750 for projects in their local green space. The grants cover the provision of compost, seeds, plants, trees timber, staging, paint, signage and help clearing Japanese Knotweed.

As in previous years, our funding for this project derives from Kirklees Council and we thank them for giving us this opportunity.

The Natural Kirklees trustees will attempt to visit each project over the summer months and we will also ask each of the successful groups to provide news and photos of the projects as they progress.

Closing date for applications was 12th April 2024.

Applications have been reviewed by the trustees of Natural Kirklees; they may requested additional information or clarification and grants have been awarded during April. The trustees hope to visit each successful applicant to showcase the project and promote the successes the group and Natural Kirklees achieve. This year a priority was given to members who have not applied in the previous 2 years unless the group was requesting funds to help them grow plants at the Peace Pit facility.

    • The funding is provided for a specific project that has a tangible, identifiable outcome.
    • The funding is provided only for items and work not already undertaken or committed to.
