The Doves of Oakwood

Location: Holme Valley (Holme Valley North, Holme Valley South)

Date joined:

Natural Kirklees Public Liability Insurance Policy Number:

We purchased approximately 5 acres of very special mature oak woodland adjacent to our home about 30 years ago. It is the best preserved section of Hagg wood with marvellous blue bell cover in late spring. We wanted to ensure it remains unspoilt for ever. Our wood already gives pleasure to many visitors. We welcome responsible public access through permissive routes. The wildlife is diverse including Roe deer. We would like to form a friends group which could enhance the woodlands future for the benefit of the community. We would welcome a conversation on how to set this up properly!
Cheers
