EPIKs delivers environmental projects so that people can get better access to green spaces on their doorstep, engage in active travel and take action for the local environment. We have regular outdoor volunteer work parties and work in partnership with community groups and businesses. This helps us to get the best local knowledge and impact from our projects.

We improve access to the Colne riverside by creating and maintaining footpaths, cycle routes and green spaces. We improve habitats so that people and wildlife can thrive, and enhance sites with seating and signage and regular litter picks.

A Community Group for the Village of Farnley Tyas village to promote the village, improve the village, and amenities, local support, arrange events, fund raising for the group and charities. We meet every month and produce a local news letter to residents 3 times per year, litter picking local area once per month and support the local church

Friends of Beaumont Park

To promote the benefit of the residents by associating together the said inhabitants and the statutory authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for conditions of life for the said inhabitants; in particular, but not exclusively by the preservation, promotion, support, assistance and improvement of Beaumont Park. To promote such other purposes as may from time to time be determined. The Charity will be non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion. The area of benefit shall be primarily but not restricted to the town of Huddersfield in Kirklees, and the surrounding area.

Friends of Churchfield

Location: Denby Dale (Denby Dale)

The Friends of Churchfield are local people who help to maintain this community open space, enhancing the biodiversity by undertaking planting, and therefore increasing the wildlife. A Heritage Lottery Grant in 2015 enabled the Friends to improve access for wheelchairs and buggies, and provide information by installing information boards, documenting the history and biodiversity of the field and its surroundings.
